About Me:
I am currently a student at Metro State College in Denver as an anthropology major with a minor in economics, graduating in the spring. In addition to going to school I also work for the USDA Forest Service in the Rocky Mountain Regional (R2) Office as an Archaeological Technician. I also do volunteer work at the Paleo Research Institute. In addition to this I am the President of Metro States Anthropology Society (ALPACA), also I am a member of the Colorado Council of Professional Archaeologists, and High Plains Society for Applied Anthropology.

This summer I am going to Mexico to do some cultural work outside of Monterrey to develop sustainability and education in a group Mayan Villages. In addition, I am going to Ecuador and Peru, while in Peru I will be working on a site south of Trujillo for six weeks.

Areas of interest:
Archaeology Theory, Economic Anthro./ Arch., State Formation, Power Relationships, Political Archaeology, some Archaeobotany, to name a few…

Ola Matt-o-licious! Hope you have a kick ass time in South America!! I will most likely be wandering the desert in Cali...bout 15 miles from Mexico...in the desert...where it's 120 degrees...and I CAN"T WAIT! But I still wish I was going to PERU!!! Little jealous!! :-)) Wish we coulda chatted more before you left, but we will have much to talk about when you get back! Keep in touch if u can!! Mmmmm....guinea pigs!! (couldn't resist!)

You will love Peru! Santa Rita B is one of the best places to be. well peru itself is one of the best places to be. I really wish I could go back. 3 cars and 14 ppl. It will be a blast. I guess that is one way to get to know our fellow travelers.

Hey Matt. seems like you have a pretty packed summer planned. While in Peru are you going to do Jon's field school? Mexico should be a lot of fun. We definitely have to ride down together
