I'm so glad you enjoy this site and that you find it useful. I would be happy to post your free weekend and primitive skills opportunities, but you may be able to do a better job of this by posting this as a blog post from your page. It will automatically post to the main page for all to see. Just thought your message would be better composed by you as you are most familiar with these opportunities.........
Sounds like you have a good summer position. Best of luck and happy trails to you. I bet you have more fun than you can imagine.
Things are good here. Not working yet, but I will. The gardens are growing well, and my construction project is moving along as I putter at it. Building this nice potting shed/greenhouse...with no nails or boards. Good to hear from ou.
Yeah, Paradise does seem to line up north and south wise with Gault, Buttermilk Creek, Wilson-Leonard and Brushy Creek. Do you know how far away the Brazos River is from Paradise. Gault, Buttermilk Creek, Wilson-Leonard and Brushy Creek all are situated on the Brazos River drainage (as well as Blackwater Draw).
"...How many hours by car to Buttermilk and Gault from Ft. Worth? If I get the chance this fall, my daughter wants to go to Texas and meet her cousins there (she met them, like, six years ago but apparently that doesn't count) and I figured I would get some fun in for myself since I have to go to Six Flags and watch everyone else have fun..."
I'd say they are about 2.5 hours from Fort Worth, driving the speed limit.

It's crazy to think of how old she's getting! :) I remember when my kids were little people would always talk to me about how fast they grow up and I couldn't believe it. Now I know they were right.
Unrelated, you leave the best comments for me. They seriously make my day. Thanks for always being awesome.
This site is located about 25 miles south of Gault and Buttermilk Creek and about 8 miles southeast of Wilson-Leonard. All have produced Clovis and preClovis artifacts. Appears early peeps were stacked up along the Balcones Escarpment, on the eastern edge of the Edwards Plateau. This region has a relatively mild climate year-round; plenty of knappable stone; spring fed creeks; and nice variety of game and plants.
Too bad, that! Now you'll just have to pursue the idea for your own knowledge. Myself, still working through the torturous path of analyzing this cemetery site I worked on last year this time. It's good to be writing again, and the subject is certainly overdue for some new insight.
Best of luck your last Fall semester, and keep dropping the occasional line.
this is my unit this field season. Please realize we have already moved a lot of rubble. going to the bottom to find out what it is!!

That sounds really interesting and insightful. Can't wait to read the results of that comparison. Curious; what kind of model are you using? What are the comparative traits in the tool technologies? Inquiring minds want to know. Keep me in the loop!
I wish I could go to the primitive skills workshop. :( I'm in the last throes of my summer classes and then Jason and I are moving into a 2 BR apartment so must pack, etc.
