ArchaeologyNet

A business network for archaeologists

The very fact that I titled this blog post this way was because the whole megafauna explanation is getting to be rote now. It is a sad statement for our educational system that basic things like the end of the ice age are not taught anymore. I actually had a teenager this past weekend that wasn't required to have ANY sciences to graduate from high school. There is a reason why are children are dropping lower and lower in academics as compared to the rest of the world. And it is our fault. Unfortunately, no one wants to take responsibility for it. As wards for our children's future, we are failures.

My daughter set up the children's area at the Research and Education Center this week. I am going to get pictures and post them as soon as possible. I am extremely proud of her. She also found a stray kitten near Grandma's, and we have a new member of the family named Boots.

There will be more next week, as I get to have a friend here over the weekend. I am so glad that Terrie is coming, and she will make it a good weekend, I believe.
