I study in Beer Sheva, and all our digs are around here. The fun part about studying archaeology in Israel is that you never need to go far to get to the period you want to dig.
Thats true you have to go over all the historical record and often a confusing set of excavation reports but it also allows you to work on a bigger picture and work in a theoretical frame work.
Actually there is two professors that teach in my department whose articles might be of assistance to you, Steven Rosen and Itzhak Gilad.
Are you planning to go for MA after you finish?
Ohh, you should do a paper on the Ghassulian culture, very very interesting. It's Chalcolithic period but it has some amazing features.
Are you mostly interested in Neolithic?
The way my BA is structured i study a bit of every period and choose what's interesting for me and then choose more classes in that direction. I do prefer Greek and Roman period, but i'm looking to move into GIS and CRM.
Hi Jasmin,
I'm doing my final paper on the Roman trade with India, although I'm still in the process of deciding what I should concentrate in that broad subject. Everything is interesting and there is plenty of material and questions to go over.
How about you?
