Virtual World Project 2009: Jordan and Israel

The 2009 Virtual World Project Expedition to the Levant was successfully concluded last week. Dozens of sites in Jordan and Israel were captured and will appear in virtual reality on the website I was pleased to have been accompanied by Ms Alexandra Untu as a team member! Some of her photos may be seen here on ArchaeologyNet.

Dolmens, Menhirs, and Cairns, oh my!

Paleontology is not my field, but I thought members who have an interest in the Celtic phenomena of dolmens, etc, might like to compare structures with those in Jordan, which I recently photographed for the Virtual World Project. Go to my photos to see several varieties and please feel free to post comments, as I would like to know more about the phenomenon.

Hi, Nicolae, I hope all is well with you. We are launching into classes next Monday so that gives me a week to get myself together. I am in the process of sorting through Sally McReynolds' theological library so I am surrounded by her books. I miss having her a phone call away. Are you still going to the dialogue group? Give my regards to all.
All the best,
Mary Ann

Hi Mr. Roddy! That's ok it's happened to me before. I am actually thinking about holding off and going next summer because it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to go this summer due to the political situation over in Israel right now. But my parents might have different plans right now so everything is being thought about.

Hi, Nicolae! Thank you for the note. I am fine except for the current end of the semester madness. I will be in Omaha for about 10 days over the holidays so I am looking forward to that. Our department is fighting over the freshman text so that feels very familiar. All the best, Mary Ann

Yes, I know shai and judith very well, having been a guest in their home many times. in fact we exchange messages quite often these days as i prepare for our 2008 season at bethsaida! I will be there for a couple of weeks beginning june 15, so if you happen to be in the neighborhood, pleased drop by! Is that your son in the picture? I have 4 children. Aurelia, 16, will be with me for her third consecutive season of digging, then there's Eli, 13; Alexandru, 4; and Anika Sofia, 18 months. I love being a father.

Unfortunately, she's not making it out this year after all. I forwarded the link though.

I took a look at Gush Halav and Sherma' today, I really like the options the site gives, like the bibliography button, and the choice between tour and presentation mode.

Are the audio interpretations currently online? If so, I'm afraid I missed them.
