Its been a while since ive been on here, and my goodness its grown!, Looking forward to making some new friends!

Just a quick blog to let u all know how im gettin on at uni. Which to be honest im a little dissapionted with the course. I expected there to be more of an emphasis on actual archaeology and excavation, but so far all we've really done is the history of archaeology, which i apprieciate is a very importent componant of building an education in archaeology. Mellor dig.......

well well well, there has been some very interesting stuff this season!

so very interesting post hole assemblages, and last but not least, we now have a hearth for a roundhouse!

I will update you more as the dig comes to an end and hopefully there is yet more to come.

Archaeology Coursework

My archaeology coursework is all done!

it's titled " a Landscape study into the area surrounding St Thomas church in Mellor and its settlement."

I have to admit im rather proud of it, even though i was well over word count by about 1000 words, but i couldnt go under word count without jepodising my typological anylsis and my pottery anylsis.

If any one is interested in a taster please let me know!

Bloody Senior Archaeologist's

my local senior archaeodude, just emailed me saying......

Ive booked you on the site, every teusday till you've finnished college.
hope thats ok, send you the details later!

How random, but i take it thats a good sign! lol

I'll update you all on the site when i can, its a Cairn, previsouly excated (poorly) by ametures in the 1980's, they didnt even fill it properly when they where done, evidence ranging back to the mesolithic, so it should be interesting!

I checked out your blog and your photos. Seems like it was an amazing trip. I must say I'm a bit jealous. Nothing as exciting as Stonehenge for me. simply working... CRM. I will be headed to Mexico to help out a former professor with his cultural anthro field school
