About Me:
I like history and archaeology. I love studying about ancient Greece, especailly Sparta, and I'm starting to get into middle eastern archaeology. I would like to go on at least one archaeological dig to get a sense of what it's about. I lived in Ghana Africa for 13 years before moving back to the states and I love adventure and thrills! That's me in a nut shell!

Hey, JB, I guess I did not have my comment notification set properly, but I see you left me a comment last June while I was out in the field and I just found it tonight! To answer your question, I was attracted to the region in the midst of a shift in my academic trajectory in ANE textual studies. How are things going with you? Think you can be ready to join me at Bethsaida in 2010? ;-)

Regarding your page background editing question -- I think if you go to the "manage" tab for your page and click on it, this will bring up the utitlity for editing your page. Hope this helps!

Yes, Ghana was an exciting place. It was on the verge of civilization and and pure country. :) I have a picture of a village made from mud bricks and thatch roof and right on the other side of there fence, made from straw, were buildings 3 stories high made of normal brick. It was a great place.

I am interested in Ancient Greek studies, and the surrounding countries now that I have started reading Herodotus' Histories. I would like to go to college for a major in Ancient History with possibly a minor in Archaeology. Possibly even a double-major if I can. I like learning about Sparta in particular. I'v done more research on that then any other Greek City-State.

Hi there! Yes I would looove to work in Africa! What are you working towards? I see you lived in Ghana most of your life! How exciting! I have never been to any part of Africa...yet! Good luck with your studies!

Just upload the 2nd, 3rd, etc. picture the same way as the first. It may depend upon the source from which you are uploading the picture. I found that I could post pictures from my picture gallery taken by my digital camera and placed on my computer, but I could not post pictures that I had stored at my photobucket collection at the photobucket website. I have no technical knowledge of this stuff, but, if your other pictures come from the same source as your first one, you should be able to post them to the site.

Hi JB. Wow, 13 years in Ghana seem interesting!
As for the field trips and digs, there are a couple of websites you could check out to have an idea of the possibilities. Particularly, www.archaeology.about.com
They usually give the list of the field schools in the summer. And you can pick up the place you like, and so forth.

A human resources specialist supports organization managers in their efforts to recruit to fill their vacant positions and manage their employees by providing advice and administrative expertise. They provide information, counsel on alternative courses of action, and administrative services within companies. I provide these functions for a Federal Government agency, and I got my foot in the door through my Master's Degree in Public Administration.
