Hi Y'all,
I realize that I'm posting this a little past the due date that is on the application sheet (officially March 31st), but there is a chance that the project might still need someone, and this would be a really great opportunity for the right person. If they're already full up, I believe they might be running the project again next year as well:
The project is running from June 15th - August 8th and is an archaeological survey of the Cape Krusenstern beach ridge complex north of Kotzebue, AK. The position involves the potential for some test excavations, but also requires that you be willing to live in a remote field camp for 6 weeks, doing your share of the camp chores in addition to your fieldwork duties. I worked on this project last year (hi, Shelby!), so a few words of advice:bring crossword puzzles for relaxation, really powerful bugspray for the mosquitos, and the very best attitude you can manage. It's a lot of tough work, but this project is also a hell of a lot of fun, a really excellent learning opportunity and a great introduction to doing fieldwork in Alaska (and the arctic!)
Here's the application with more information:

Cheers!
